Product Overview
The Nu Instruments Astrum is a thermal ionisation mass spectrometer (TIMS) designed for high-precision isotope ratio measurements of elements that can be thermally ionised from a heated filament. Incorporating Nu’s established ion optics and detection technologies, the Astrum delivers publication-quality data for radiogenic isotope systems including Sr, Nd, Pb, U and other elements.
The Astrum is widely used in geochronology, geochemistry, nuclear safeguards and environmental tracing applications. Its multi-filament turret, automated operation and excellent thermal stability make it suitable for laboratories requiring high throughput and the highest precision isotope ratio measurements.
