Product Overview
The Eralytics ERASPEC is a mid-infrared FTIR fuel analyser that determines a large number of fuel quality parameters simultaneously from a single measurement. Gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, ethanol fuels and methanol are analysed without solvents, reagents or sample preparation. Results for RON, MON, AKI, cetane number, distillation fractions, FAME content, aromatics, density, viscosity and freezing point — over 40 parameters in total — are available in about 60 seconds, including fully automated rinsing, filling and measurement.
ERASPEC measures in full compliance with ASTM D4052, D5845, D6277, D7777, D7806, D8321, D8340 and E1655, as well as EN 238, EN 14078, IP 559, ISO 12185 and ISO 15212. Results correlate to a wide range of primary reference methods including ASTM D86, D613, D1319, D2699, D2700, D4815, D5191, D6890, ISO 3405, ISO 5163 and ISO 5164.
The patented spectrometer design uses a laser-referenced, temperature-controlled optical bench with a corner-cube retro-reflector, giving the wavelength stability needed for chemometric fuel models. An integrated temperature-controlled U-tube density meter adds ASTM D4052 / ISO 12185 density to the same measurement, and the optional NIR/PLS module doubles octane precision.
The expandable SGS® fuel library contains more than 1 000 samples from 89 countries, which makes ERASPEC well suited to fuel quality monitoring programmes, refinery and terminal laboratories, and regulatory enforcement work.
