Product Overview
The Eralytics ERAVISC X measures kinematic viscosity and density from a single 3 mL sample in about one minute. It combines a capillary measuring cell — which determines the flow time of the sample as a function of rapidly measured pressure — with an X-oscillating metal U-tube density cell.
It is important to be precise about standards. ERAVISC X measures DENSITY in full compliance with ASTM D4052, ASTM D5002 and ISO 12185. For KINEMATIC VISCOSITY and VISCOSITY INDEX it is a correlating instrument: results correlate to ASTM D445, ASTM D7042, ASTM D2270, ISO 3104 and ISO 23581, but the instrument does not perform those procedures in full compliance.
Accuracy is 0.8 % on viscosity and 0.00005 g/cm³ on density over a viscosity range of 1–1 000 mm²/s and a density range of 0–3 g/cm³. Viscosity is measured between 15 °C and 100 °C and density between 0 °C and 100 °C, with Peltier temperature control enabling automated high-speed viscosity index determination at two temperatures.
FillingProof® bubble detection guards against the most common source of error, and the rugged corrosion-resistant aluminium housing, multilingual touchscreen and LIMS connectivity make ERAVISC X equally suited to a laboratory bench or a maintenance workshop — it is also one of the four analysers in the ERALAB OCM solution.
