Product Overview
The NEX QC II Series is built on the proven NEX QC platform and updated with graphene window silicon drift detectors, refined optics, upgraded electronics and a redesigned touchscreen interface. The compact, fanless enclosure is engineered for plant floor and at-line deployment in petroleum refineries, fuel terminals and petrochemical plants.
For sulphur analysis, the NEX QC II Series complies with ASTM D4294, the primary EDXRF method for total sulphur in petroleum and petroleum products, and ASTM D7220 for sulphur in automotive fuels on a portable basis. Pre-loaded sulphur calibrations cover ultra-low-sulphur diesel, gasoline, jet fuel, fuel oil, crude oil and lubricant matrices, enabling immediate, accurate sulphur QC without the need for external software or specialist operators. The graphene window SDD — enhanced on the NEX QC II+ model — provides the low-energy sensitivity needed for reliable sub-10 ppm sulphur determination in ultra-low-sulphur fuels.
The NEX QC+ QuantEZ model adds a PC-based interface with Rigaku's RPF-SQX Fundamental Parameters software, enabling standardless semi-quantitative analysis of unknown samples and advanced empirical method development. The optional SureDI package provides 21 CFR Part 11 compliance for pharmaceutical and regulated applications. Beyond petroleum, the series handles mining, cement, metals, environmental and industrial QC applications from a single platform.
