Product Overview
The Evident (Olympus) SZX16 is the highest-performance research stereo microscope in the Evident range, offering a 16.4:1 zoom ratio with apochromatic optical correction and the highest numerical aperture (0.3) available in a stereo microscope. The SZX16 delivers exceptional resolution and contrast that approaches compound microscope performance while retaining the depth of field and 3D perspective of stereo imaging.
The SZX16 is used in neuroscience, developmental biology, fluorescence screening, microsurgery and advanced materials inspection where the highest optical performance in a stereo microscope is essential. Its fluorescence-capable design with optimised long-pass filters enables GFP, RFP and other fluorescence observations, making it invaluable for screening transgenic organisms and fluorescently labelled specimens.
